How can i tell if i have an si tranny???
ok, when i first bought my hb people told me it was a std. it has the vynil seats, no extra console and there isn't holes where a dx emblem would be on the back. When i got it, it came with a d15b2 and a 5 spd tranny. i *think* the d15b2 is the std engine but i'm not sure. i no longer have this setup in the car but i might sell the tranny if it's an si. tia
The STD is supposed to come with a D15B1 and a 4-speed manual transmission.
The D15B2 was the DX engine. The DX came with a 5-speed manual transmission which was geared longer than the Si transmission.

ok so i'm leaning more towards my hb being a dx. but i have the vynil seats and ish, with no console. is there any ways to tell what model it is by the vin???
sounds like you have a std w/ a dx engine-tranny swap
std = vynil seats and no rear wiper
as far as the tranny being a dx or si/ex, search is your friend....
