Just wondering what is the ET and trap speed of the fastest all motor vehicle with a stock chasis? Domestics and imports.

Probably the McLaren F1

 

soon to be outdone by the Ferrari F60 and Bugatti Veyron

 

The Bugatti may end up with the highest top speed, but it is not naturally aspirated. I believe it is quad turboed. The F60 will be a close match to the McLaren in terms of acceleration, but once higher speeds are reached, the McLaren will pull away. The F60 will be no match for the McLaren in terms of top speed. I don't think we will see a car quite like the McLaren for some time, at this point, it is essentially automotive perfection.

 

Very ture. Hace you all seen the BBC Top Gear video with Tiff Needell driving and talking about the car. Pretty freak'n amazing.

Anyway, I have a different question. What does the faster n/a R run? I searched in other posts and all I got were other n/a hondas, or turbo'd cars. So I'm just curious. later

Henessy Viper?Isn't there one that runs runs mid 10's?

 

The Hennessey Viper is twin-turbo and practically undriveable with street tires (AND NOT STOCK CHASSIS).

What do you mean by stock chassis? There are plenty of 8 and 9 second all motor old school domestics running around that haven't been tube framed or chopped to hell. Most even run full interiors... The chopped up ones run 7s.

 

Stock chassis = as you would get it from the dealer (no mods)

 

So basically you mean "what is the most overpriced car in the land?"

New Z06 is running high 11s for under ~$50k. woowoo.

 

After seeing those exotic car pics that somebody posted up a while back, I thought there was finally a car out there that is faster than the F1 but I guess not. BTW - I have never seen the 1/4 mile numbers for the F1, anybody have them?

Well, now you got me intrigued. How fast (ET and trap speed) is the fastest old school domestic without a tube frame?

 

Are we speaking in "Production" models. As in MASS made cars? Or can this be custom dealer made cars?
