Default Engine mount question

Has anyone of you accord owners put in Polyurethane motor mount Inserts ??

I need a new front motor mount and was thinkin about buyin these inserts.......do these replace the rubber lining or does it go over it or something like that?

Like would I need to buy a new mount and these inserts?

Well
thanks in advance....

seeing as how it is an insert..it should "insert" into the existing mount. you can also get a whole new "solid filled" mount from a place such as hasport. but if your mount is trashed, you need to get a new one either way.

If your mount is trashed, it's because the rubber has cracked. Fill it with polyurethane and it will be fine.

You may not like the added vibration though.

Yea thats exactly what I'm talking about.....I just want to know if that insert works with the rubber piece or does that replace it completely?

Instead of buying a stock mount ...I'd rather fill it with the polyurethane inserts for less vibration from the motor

hasport sells nice aftermarket mounts, check em out. if your stock mount is cracked, rather than buying an insert (which simply fills the gaps in the rubber of the mount), i would replace the whole thing just to be sure it is all done right. but if you are going to do the inserts, i think all they make for the accord is the rear insert. but i could be wrong.

Im using just the front one.. and it's been working well. A little bit of added vibration.. but no wheel hop.
