ek rear swaybar oppinions?
Everyone has a differant overall driving style. However, whats everyones seperate opinions on whats available and good to use for overall improvement on the ek chassis. Ive started with good suspension, bushings, and tires. Ive been debating the 25mm cusco bar? Ive heard rumors of tearing subframes in the rear however, myth or true?
very happy with my comptech sway/tie combo. purchased from kingrat motorsports, im kingrat (alex). fwiw, i had a skunk2 sway (rumored no longer in production) before that, and i tore my subframe with it.

The comptech bar is the only bar I would put on my car.

wow. great help so far. Usually i get some ******* trying to tell me im stupid for asking..
Anyhow, do you think the skunk 2 sway tore the subframe because the 23mm and stoutness of the metal along with the manner it bolts on causes it to tear. If so i think the cusco 25mm one would cause me the same issues. Im kinda looking for a large one. The comptech one i like tho, it looks as if it being tied with the rear lower bar aids its strentgh.
Whats a good deal on the comptech one? Like what can i find one for cheap?
Thanks for all the help

I am a huge fan of the Progress bar.
Its a 22mm bar, but its mounting points are further out than the ITR. It also has shorter lever arms than the ITR as well. (all which result in a stiffer bar).
The endlink design is nice, and it comes with polyurethane bushings.

i'm using a mugen 22mm and i want something bigger. my subframe tore when i ran race tires, but i haven't had a problem since i reinforced it. the mugen D-brackets like to break though, but i'd rather weld those up than my subframe again. fabricating better D-brackets is on my list of to do's, but i've been lazy.
now i'm looking for something bigger, greater than 25mm. does anyone know of a bar of this size that uses the Si style endlinks?

Heh, colt under a friends name
Anyhow, I think I am looking for the same, who makes somthing larger than a 25mm? Is there anything at a 25mm or larger even?

I've got an EG and run a 23mm JDM ITR bar with the Beaks mount kit... works great for me... personally, I can't imagine that you'd really need bigger than 22-23mm unless you were still running stock springs for some reason...
Just an FYI. You cannot use KYB AGX shocks w/ the progress bar as it requires you to mount your rear shocks w/ the adjustment **** in. This creates an interference problem w/ the endlinks. You could remove the ****, but why buy adjustable shocks to begin with? I have a comptech on my car and it works great.

Is it larger than the comptech>?

No, the SRR bar is much smaller than the Comptech. Something like 19mm.

soft rear springs are largely the reason so many people have problems with their subframe staying together.

So, what kinda cherictoristics would i have with my n1 suspension, front and rear cusco cf strut bars, and a factory bar and beaks kit?
What about the same setup, however with the comptech rear bar and tie combination.

yep, b/c the bar is having to do the bulk of the work to reduce rear roll.

can't say that I blame you... that's pretty freaking cold
Basically a larger bar will increase rotation on turn in and tend to make the car more neutral. Now how it feels to you is to a large part going to be personal preference. I think my car rotates just fine with 340F 400R spings and a 23mm bar. I'd like stiffer front and rear springs (450F 550R) to reduce roll further but haven't gotten around to it yet...
