Competition Clutch, anyone using them here?
Im getting a clutch soon and was planning on getting a Clutchmasters Stage 3 or 4. The place I was planning on buying it from stopped distributing them and now sells Competition. He gave me the story about how the part owner of Clutchmasters broke off and started his own company and these clutches are just as good as Clutchmasters. I dont have any reason to doubt him but I just wanted to know if anyone on this board uses them and what they have to say about this product.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Chris Jewel the owner used to be part owner or HIgh up in Clutch Master's company, all his old contacts when he worked for CM he basically has converted over to his company now. He has ALOT of contacts! I met him at the VA NOPI event in September and got a card and some info from him about a twin disc clutch. I ordered the Competition Clutch Twin Disc and should be delivered tomorrow and installed this weekend.
I know InlinePro uses them exclusively now ( I am sure that is who you were speaking of) YOu can't go wrong with it IMHO. As far as I know the same company makes both of the clutches for Clutchmasters and Competition Clutch at least the twin disc =. I will report once I have it installed and all.

I have a competition clutch stage 3 w/ a 6 puck sprung hub and a 12.5 lbs. ACT Flywheel. It has never slipped. I have launched it at 6000 on several occasions. I love my clutch. The 6 puck disc with that stiff pressure plate sucks in stop and go traffic. But very strong.
