Default what is the best way to run a turbo? i.e. zdyne, hondata, etc..

i wanted to go with zdyne for my turbo setup. but i was told by a local import tuner garage. that he could chip my P72 ecu and tune it for 10 psi of boost for $150! and he had said that it's not worth the money for the zdyne or the hondata! is that true? and that what he'll do to my ecu is just as good as them! now is that true?
any help here will be great!
thanks

Well the standalones are more user-friendly and are user-programmable, most have datalogging, and they have tons of options. It all depends if you are willing to tune yourself or not, if not its just better to have them program and chip it...theres also other options such as turboedit, ghettodyne, etc...just look into them all and weigh your options and take it from there.

if he is very experienced and good at working with the honda ecu... could be a good option for 10 psi and keeping your wallet a bit thicker.

the ghettodyne, uberdata, etc... all seem to be very cost effective methods of fuel management for experienced tuners.

Hey i ran an Zdyne on a LS/VTEC with Boost and had no problems, But if you do have the money i would def buy some sort of stand alone. But Zdyne will be fine if you want to spend the money elsewhere. Heres the deal if you keep you boost a certain psi and dont plan on changing it much i would go with Zdyne If you are about changing boost a lot Go with the Stand Alone way better off. Hey if you have the Money BUY ACCEL DFI too sweet
