I have a '00 JDM ITR motor (which don't come with a vtec pressure switch on the vtec solenoid) in my '00 Civic Si (OBD-2). I am running a chipped P28 computer. I have driven with this motor and ecu for the past 1 year now and no problem and no CEL until today. All of a sudden while driving, my CEL comes on. I turn off my car and turn it back on thinking it might be the O2 sensor. The CEL stays on and I got it checked out. It says that its throwing a code 22. I looked it up and its the Vtec pressure switch. I checked my OBD-2 to OBD-1 jumper and everything seems fine. I got my jumper soldered when I took off my VAFC and i'm thinking that might be the problem, but the wires are still intact and nothing is loose.
BTW my vtec does not activate and I tried running a different chip on my p28. Same CEL light comes on.
Can anyone help me out or give me any ideas on what it can be? Thanks in advance.
