On what date do you plan on leaving/returning home?

 

I believe we are looking at a 2 day drive, as most people aren't going to be up for the straight through sprint ( Would be fun, but we'd be toast the following days.). So I'd guess a simple format to start would be a Thursday morning departure and a late Friday arrival if possible.

The next part though is some people have plans to do different things before heading back. We need to see who is staying around and who is ready to return the monday after the event.

Personally I think I have time to just be there for the event, I'll be delinquent from classes as is.....

Not sure when we's leaving.

Ryan and the MI guys should join us. So should Rob in NYC and anyone coming this way from the North East.

We were planning on meeting trey somewhere (as Trey, etc, drive West and we drive SW we should meet somewhere....).

I'd say Tuesday.... 2 day drive. That gets us there Thursday to rest, fix up the cars, help Trey, maybe do some cannonball runs (WHOOPS! i meant 'parade laps. haha) on friday at the track with our cars full of gear.

Why, Reid, you coming out here again? That would kick ***. You know you are more than welcome to crash at my place again. Just tell me when you need to get picked up at Ohare.

 

Hey Chris, I was thinking about taking the southern route to possible avoid storms/ bad weather.
Take a look at the route I have in mind..

I was thinking the NE guys and NoVa people could meet up with the SE/ We todds in Knoxville where 75, 81 and 40 meet so we could have a HUGE *** crew rollin.

Would it be possible for the Chicago area People to come down to Knoxville and then roll out, or is it to much out of the way?

 

knoxville is about 8-9 hours southeast of us... we could probably meet you guys in Tejas or oklahoma.... or somewhere in there.

I'm sure we (Chicago, WI/MI, etc.) will roll down I-44 for a bit. We can look up something on a map sometime.

I-40 caravan = a given.

 

We ought to hold off on making any firm plans since we aren't even sure we know where the expo will be.

Hopefully that will all be resolved soon (i.e., moving the expo) or the west coasters will get off there lazy asses and register NOW. (again, no offense to those of you who have registered, we all know who we are talking about)

I hope to join any caravan leaving from IL. But my co-pilot has limited vacation time so I'm not sure if we'd be able to leave tuesday. This is still a ways away so who knows. At this point the expo may even move to a different location so travel plans are far from set.......

Not exactly sure on my plans. I was thinking about taking a little bit longer to drive down (4-5 days) so I could see a little bit of the country and enjoy the terrain. Your welcome to join me if you want. I will probably leave the Saturday before the event.

i would join you guys but i'm a little too young(Yes i'm only 18 still living with mommy and daddy) for a trip this far so maybe next year. Hopefully it will be a little closer to Chi-town. Take many pictures/videos so i can see them when you guys get back!!
