well i talked to police but they told me small things like this they dont really care,(they need to spend thier time to eat donuts and drink coffee) they told me that's what insurance is for, they wont have anyone to investgating this but just hoping someday some cop drive by and see my R parked somewhere on the street so they can close the file. i also told the cops that sercuity in my place has the tape but they cant see my car exit or people who stole my car, so i ask them if they can check the tapes but the cop told me, "stop wasting my time" it will take him too long to view the tape
so now i realize police are useless

i've talked to my insurance, and my agent told me it's been 2 weeks most likely even if they do find my car it will be nothing there but a shell.
so now my question is what should i get next ? i need a car that can be dialy driven and be able to go to the track. i really love ITR but i dont think i'd buy it now(since mine was stoeln at my condo, underground parking with useless sercuity and more then 20+cameras) so buying another ITR is out of my question only if i buy a house first also buying an used ITR wouldnt it be a good idea ? i had mine brand new so i really dont want to get a used one.

here is what i'm thinking

2004 WRX--fast but i cant drive awd(dont know how to drive on the track)
2004 RSX-S )close to itr but much slower than wrx
used bmw 330i <-- parts expensive cant mod the car
used bmw 540i <-- no more racing for me <-- and will make me feel like an old man, but comfortable

that would you guys choose ?

If i were to sell mine, id be looking into rather a new/used s2000, older NSX or an MKIV supra. Are you looking for something like the ITR, possibly to track on weekends?

I don't think EVOs are sold north of the border.

 

2004 SRT 4 (or whatever that turbo Neon is called and the only FWD car that I would even think about owner besides and ITR.)
Evo 8
STI or reg WRX
RX-8

I would say used BMW, but I avoided a BMW because the thoughts of $$$ maintenance. Not that they break constantly, but when something does break, it will most likely be expensive.

Oh, and learn to drive AWD, not too difficult.

I can't believe that they wouldn't review the tape... I'd review the tapes myself if I could... I'm assuming your building's security turned the tapes over to the police... that sucks... I'd want to see how those f*ckers got it...

I'm so sorry about your loss... this just gives me second thoughts about moving into a condo... I would have thought it would be safe with security cameras... Does your building have separate parking for tenants and visitors? if there is, then someone in the building must have sold you out... otherwise, how would they know of an R being stored underground?

Sigh... it will be hard to replace the R... for under 40k CDN it will be pretty hard to find something that equals it... maybe get another one? but could you park it somewhere else?

It sucks that thieves get to control us like this... it's ridiculous.

WRX isn't much faster than your ITR. My ITR with just intake/header keeps up with my roommates stock WRX. (for now, lol)
Also, from what I've been told, going from FWD to AWD is going to be an easier transition then going from FWD to RWD, but I have no direct experience aside from driving a WRX on the street.

And the RSX? I wouldn't say "close to ITR" unless you got a DC5-R.

EVO/STi, and if not available, what about RX-8 or maybe used M3?

 

I'd take the money and get some grammar lessons or something...it's hard to read your post....

If you have evidence...like you know, real evidence, then don't just sit there like a jackass and let everyone walk all over you...take the initiative and fight back a little...you'd be surprised what you can do when you stand up for yourself.

we dont have evo here ............
sti is out of my price range, by the time with 15% tax this and that it will cost me close 60k cdn while WRX is only 42k on the road

i'm really pissed at my sercuity people, i even think it's an inside job, the cops are too lazy to take a look at the tape, while sercuity told me they did check the tape and sees nothing(wtf my car has invisible shield or what) there are cameras everywhere including all the exit points but they cant see my car. management office wouldnt relase me a copy due to other people's privacy (i'm the one lost my car and i have no rights to look at the tape ? ) , and cops told me i have to ask my building office if i want to see it, but they will not look at it. sercuity told me they are not giving the tape to the cops coz they work on thier own so basically i'm getting no help from both side....

it's not ridiculous if you heard what cops told me, basically cops dont give a fck about stealing cars, they have much better things to do like eating donuts,
that's why the thieves are out of control, coz no one is out there try to get them

i dont think i should pay any fee for the sercuity anymore since i'm not getting any benefit

cops clearly told me, do not call them wait till they call, because none of them cares about my car, there are too many cars get stolen everyday they have better things to do then just go out there look for my car.

look into who the security is, chances are that one of the gaurds ...or someone he knew have it. they are the onyl ones that know camera angles. check it out, hope this helps

After my Integra was stolen, I had both 330i (several bimmers actually) and a WRX.
I hated the WRX....did not like the handling, did not like the fit and finish/quality of the car, really weak paint/body on that car, no low-end torque. And it was the first car ever that I had to bring in for warranty work. Its not a bad car, just wasn't a car for me.
The 330i was much more pricey, but it was just an awesome vehicle. Parts/service are not expensive as long as you stay away fro the st[d]ealer.
The high cost of BWm ownership is a myth, no one would drive these cars if that was the case.
I do not think that a 330 (w/ sport packed of course) or a 540i will make you feel like an old man. People track these cars all the time and they last well past 200k miles.

Get out there, maybe even get a lawyer, and get your car back. Those tapes have everything you need to bag these guys. It's not as if the cops are going to be combing the streets for your car, but if you have legitimate proof through these security tapes I would pursue it by any means possible. Hell, go after the cops for sitting on their fat asses when they have hard evidence right at their fingertips.

As for a new ride, don't get a WRX, a 93+ Supra TT would be tit.

just get an rsx itr imported from japan.. if your willing to spend a lot of cash for it.. i think legalization there is differnt from us and is much easier to get .. sorry about nothign turning up.. but here have a drink on me..

 

Its sux you dont have a little more to spend otherwise i would say get a used Audi S4. Those things are sick as hell and runners tooo!!!! I guess it all depends what you want though. I would listen to a lot of the other guys on here and get your *** out there and higher inspector gadget if you have too and get that R back. Someone knows something for sure. Go Go gadget Rfinder
