Anyone drive their S2K in the winter? (snow)
I've been considering purchasing an s2000 and I would like some feedback from s2k owners in snowy states (I'm in snowy Minnesota). I just want to know if they are drivable when equipped with some nice snow tires. I have been doin the two car thing for too long and I really want an just one car, an S2K. Thanks
i just posted my first experience w/ the stock summer tires in the snow..all i can say is that im buyinng some snow tires tomorrw morning early!!! should be fine then...but check out s2ki.com and do a search for snow tires...everyone there seem to like Bilazzk LM-22 in stock tire size..they cost about 600 shipped w/ tire protection from tirerack.com

This is the scariest car in LIGHT snow with the stock bridgestones. I would personally choose another ride if I lived in Minnesota! Get A Hype R or a TSX!
I still dont feel comfortable with snow tires in Oregon and our weather is not half as bad as yours... Being that the car is so light, rear wheel drive, and fairly powerful it becomes a triple threat of characteristics not suited for snow.

Type R's aren't worth owning because they are such a huge target of thieves. like i said i had one, and it got stolen. i would rather not deal with that anymore. i do like the TSX, but im looking at spending under $20k.

wrong, i am looking at 2 locally right now. remember i am in minnesota so these cars are not typically going to sell this toime of year. both are $20k at dealerships. one is a black 01 with 11k miles and the other is silver with 33k miles. ive looked at both and they are mint.

You already have another car? If so, I would strongly suggest you KEEP that car and use the S2k as a weekend car, or when the weather is good. If I lived in Minnesota I would not wanna have an S2k as my only car, just my two cents..

Don't get the black one.... You will regret it! I had a FBP Type R and it sucked, it was a full time job trying to keep it clean. Plus Honda paint is not so great so that makes the black even worse.
