Default Another help question concerning MPG ... 320mi a tank to 200mi ....

96 GSR w/ 68k miles - original form

I used to get 300 miles-ish to the tank so that wasnt bad going from a taurus. I consider myself moderately educated about honda/acura -

And out of nowhere I have been getting 240 to the tank, and this new tank was 210. I thought the first one was bad MPG because of speedway gas (only used because of gift certificates) so I thought it would possibly change when I filled with Mobil Gas.

Nope.

Mods -
B&M FPR
VAFC I
A/F autometer Gauge
I/E

Not much else that would affect performance...

Can someone help me figure this problem out please?
I was thinking perhaps junk fuel filter or...
.... im just running too rich (thats really really rich though)

And I know how to work the VAFC and FPR and its just fine not too lean not too rich.

When did this start happening? When it got really cold? The cold always killed my gas milage. Over break I got about 20mpg with the CL, which sucks but it's just becuase it's so cold out. The CL usually gets about 25-25 mpg in the summer time. I remember last winter my integra saw quite a decline in mpg in the winter. Also keep in mind everytime you run the defroster it puts more strain on your motor becuase it makes the compressor run. Easy solution to that is take the belt off. With my ae86 I saw about 31-32 mpg in the summer and in winter it was usually around 25-26mpg. Whenever the tank on the teg is empty I usually put about 10 gallons of gas in it so... normally you would be getting about 30mpg in the summer, and in the winter about 24mpg. Which seems about right to me. Anyone elce see trends like this in summer compared to winter gas milage?
