Default 5th Gen Accord weight (Groos Vehicle Weight Rating)..

3915 lbs for the Coupe/Sedan (LX, DX, SE)
4010 lbs for the Coupe/Sedan (EX)

4190 lbs for the Wagon (LX)
4235 lbs for the Wagon (EX)

Seems a little heavy to me...Do Integras weigh a similar amount??

GVWR (Gross Vehicle Weight Rating) - Total weight a vehicle is rated to carry by the manufacturer, including its own weight and the weight of its load.

meaning that a wagon when fully loaded should not weigh more than 4200 lbs.

What you used to hearing is the curb weight...here is what I found for a 95 accord:

95 ex 2 dr 2954
95 ex 4 dr 3009
95 ex wgn 3197

I did these all in ex since they are all the heaviest (most options etc)
Hope this helps

Those are correct, and generally (someone correct me if I am wrong) but curb weight is the dry weight of the vehicle...no fluids no gas no driver just engine car and all the options it comes with. But I would say with all fluids it should weigh like 150-200 more lbs and then the driver....thats why weight reduction oWnZ jOO

Yea, which if you look at other cars is heavy.....the accord have always had a fat ***, thats why most swaps include either h22 or boost or nawwZZzz. I think with weight reduction and still daily drivable down 150-250 lbs.

People saying the car weighs to much are the same people that get pissed when the interior falls apart due to lightweight interior parts and stuff like that.

uh, what does this have to do with GVRW pickle receptical? You added nothing helpful .

Accords are heavy cars, cannot get around the fact that they were designed for the family in mind not performance. However when you compare an accord to similar in its classification you will see that there are always lighter. Most cars in its class wiegh in at 3300lbs or more. Integras wiegh in at 2664-2780, so by all means technically they are not light either.

Did you have to be insulting to get your point across?

Reducing weight legally, meaning still street driveable by law would put you around 2800 lbs give or take.
Sucks *** when Integras can get to 2500 and Civics to 2300.

One interesting piece of info I've found in my research is that earlier 5th gen's, either 2dr/4dr, actually WEIGH LESS than later 5th gens due to minor tweaks.

I believe that 3009 curb weight for the 5th gen 4dr/5spd/EX *cough-cough* is measured off a 1994. Later years weigh (my guess) anywhere from 10-40 lbs more with my guess at the heaviest being a 1997 model.

This is similar to how many cars seem to evolve like the rx7/civic/crx et al. Though the body style might look the same, later years typically added 5-10% in weight. I think the new s2000 gained 25 lbs (thou was a model change).

You have to remember, that is GROSS weight. That is including a full tank of gasoline and 5 total passengers.

And no, the integra is about 300 lbs. lighter than a 5th gen sedan.

They are heavy cars. Get used to it or do something about it.

*Here are a few things listed to remove to lessen weight in 5th Gen:
-remove power steering
-remove a/c
-remove cruise control
*What else under the engine can be removed?
