Default Nut on the axle

Trying to pull the motor from old car and come across the nuts on the end of the axle. It looks like they pinched it or something but it is a bitch to get off . Any ideas?

unstake it....

or, use a lot of force and it will come off. I've never had to unstake one before...just lift up really hard on the breaker bar and the pinched in part bend out

use a 3/4" ratchet with 3 foot long steel breaker bar. works every time.

i use 3/4" because if you use anything smaller it will break..

undo the crushed in thing on the nut, get a big *** 1/2" or 3/4" breaker bar, right size socket, about a 4' long pipe, some big ************ and have him jump on the pipe to break it loose. I'm just saying the 1/2" thing because that's what I used to get mine on the prelude off. Didn't break.
But if you're worried about breaking it, go to Sears and buy craftsman stuff. It breaks, no biggie. They'll give you a new one.

Will try, do I need to put the wheel on. The whole assy spins when I try to turn it. I am supposed to have LSD trany(TYPE-R), but one of my wheels spin when the car is in gear.

wheel on while it's on the ground will keep it from spinning, but yeah, breaker bar and a pipe and you'll be good to go

break the nut loose on the ground. use a regular screwdriver and a hammer and bang the kink in the nut out. then use a big wratchet- at least 1/2 drive and a breaker bar(i use a 3 foot piece of pipe that i put over the end of the wratchet) spray it with a lil bit of pb blaster and step on the breaker bar- **** comes right off ive done 5 axles in the past 3 months- and that proceedure works for me every time

if you have the car up off the ground, you can put a screwdriver throught the caliper and into the rotor to stop it from ratating.

get a big *** breaker bar, and torque on it.
you can also try to tighten ity alittle to break it loose.

hope that helps

bah, just get a screw driver and undent/notch/bent the area on the nut that keeps it from coming off. and smack it with a hammer, and impact it off.

Unstake it with some type of chisel. After that the best option is an impact wrench, don't have one? Doesn't matter whethet the car is on or off the ground, or if the car has a wheel on or not, put the car in gear have your buddy slam the break and jump on the breaker bar to pop it loose. For the breaker bar I used the end of a car jack pole and slipped a (Craftsman ) ratchet into it. Be careful cause things may break before the actual nut does. Been there, done that, go tthe t-shirt.. was a bitch too

Yeah all you need is a 32mm socket and some muscle. It should come off with no problem.
