I'm trying ot find out some info as well.

from my research, the volstage may be different depending on the type of gauges and year of the car.

OBD1 and 2 cars i beleive that it is a 12v pulse and in some obd0 cars it is a 5v pulse.

that's an interesting question..... what are you trying to do? aftermarket speedo?
