Default how to run n20 safely with D series...

I know that I have to get 2 degree lower plugs, I am only running a 55 shot so do I need to retard the timing back? Also when running the line from the bottle to the engine bay are you suppose to run it uner the car? or is it kosher to go under the carpet? what other precautions should I take. How much does n20 effect a tranny and clutch if its hooked up to a WOT switch? Anything else I should know? this is going on a d15b

what kind of kit do you have? i had a zex kit for a while running a 55 shot with very few modifications to anything other than a fuel regulator, and rail. when i went to a 65 shot i got a pump and retarded the timing, but the zex kit ran only on full throttle not any other time.

d-series isnt nitrous friendly...there is more bad stuff happen then good stuff with d-series on nitrous so find another way to blow your motor.

Ding Ding Ding..we have a winner for the biggest peice of misinformation in a recent thread yet. I would'nt run over a 55 shot no matter what, but my turbo is similar to almost a 100 shot all the time...and my car runs fine. Get up with RyanCivic2000. He drives a n20ed D series daily.

i know someone that was trying to blow the d-series motor in his 99 hatch and he sprayed a 75 shot of zex on his motor constantly. he beat the **** out of it all summer before it finally went. it took 11 bottles and then it only broke a ring. this is without being careful and cautious about the tuning. although the motor may be fresher than yours since it was a 99. with a 55 shot you should be fine. you could retard your timing like a degree or 2 if it would make you feel better, run some colder plugs and have a good time. your clutch may slip eventually if it is abused a lot. but other than the eventual clutch slippage you should have no probs....

I completeley disagree with this...

I ran 55 shot on a Z6 almost completely stock minus I/H/E and the zex cam for so long and for so many bttls.. Not to mention I was ADVANCED 2 degrees on a 75 shot at the track ( which yeilded a 14.2 @ 96.6 very consistantly in a Del Sol)
The leaner the meaner is the way it goes too...

You can run your lines under the carpet or the car, doesnt matter.... safty is the issue there.... you shouldn't have lines with gas coming into the cabin..

yes, run colder plugs and as far as timing.... retard to be safe, advance to go fast...

Nitrous isn't d series friendly my ***.... Nitrous isn't ring friendly on any motor...
