Default JDM itr frontend

This is kind of a stupid question.. but I have been looking into getting a JDM ITR front end for my 95 gsr and what not and I saw the HID version on jdmhondaparts.com for $4000 and the non-HID front end for $2500... so my question is can I just go spend $450 on a vision HID setup from like the groupbuycenter.com and then spend $2000 on the non HID front end and put the vision HID kit on or is that not gonna fit right etc etc... I just want to make sure because if that is the case I will order my HID set now and get the front end over the winter. I would apperciate all the feedback I can get

True HID lights have differently designed reflectors that best distribute the xenon light. When you guy the HID conversion kits, you get the light and the higher output power, but you won't be as bright as the Lexus's, MB's, and Bimmer's that have true HID's cuz their reflectors were made for them while yours is made for a halogen bulb. You'd see improvement with the conversion over your halogens, but the true HID's would be brighter. It's up to you how important the HID's are and how bright you want it. That's a big price diff. BTW, $2500 for a metal OEM conversion is the best price I've seen...I didn't know jdmhondaparts had them for that much...last I saw, they were still $3k.

I see, well maybe I was off on the price been awhile since I have looked and I have had a lot of stuff to do while I am here at work and browsing the web at a glance is what I get to do. But have you seen any metal jdm front end's for under $4000 with the HID setup?? I am wanting to do one basically to be different.. in the area where I am if the kids with honda's saw my car they would be in awe.. that and I prefer the looks 110% of the jdm itr front end as to the US version just looking at the headlights excites me!

Yeah, I love the jdm front end also! Whenever I see one, I just stare (prolly bad cuz I'll get into an accident!) I think the lowest price I've EVER seen for an HID jdm conversion was about $3800...not too much cheaper...but I can't remember where I saw it! Sorry. A friend of mine just got an 01 GSR and I've been trying to get her to get a jdm front end and go mild NA, but she's always complaining about money...bah!! Shoot me an email at jainikke@yahoo.com and I'll let you know if I find a low priced place that carries HID jdm fronts and email you. I surf different sites every so often, so maybe I'll find something...tho, some places I don't always trust, so I might not tell you those. Yeah, I've seen a jdm w/ HID's at nite and it looks sweet!
