Default Doin my suspension

Here it is....I'm gonna be lowering my car soon( 2- 1/4 in.) My friend gave me some brand new neuspeed springs.I was looking around for some koni yellows but the prices are sick.Don't really want the spend that much right now. I wanted the spend no more than 400 shiped. I think the cheapest i've seen them for is 560 shipped. I'm gonna be using coilovers next winter so i'm only gonna need the shocks/struts for no more than 8 months. So is anyone using a different shock/strut setup with there neuspeed springs. Or does anyone have any suggestions on some shocks/struts i can use with my neuspeed springs. We have some huge pothholes here in NYC so I need a real reliable setup...thanks for the help.

lowering 2 and a 1/4 on stock struts isnt a great idea but im sure itll be driveable... if you plan on sticking with stock struts maybe going with a less "aggressive", so to speak, spring is a better idea, like eibach or progress.

if you drive around large pot holes i wouldnt recommond lowering your car that much. if you dont care what
i've jus said i will recommond you get some tokico illumina's. also if you're not gonna be racing on track,
koni's are a bit too much but they're nice. so its up to you. i say illuminas.

KYB AGX are pretty good struts and not as costly as the Koni's check out tirerack.com and see what they got for you

i've got AGX's and i drove daily down 275 here in cincy during all the horrid construction and they've held up pretty well.. but i think if you can hold out you should. Better safe than sorry.

go head put the neuspeeds on with your stock struts anit really gona do ****. its not bad and if for some wacko reason you do blow a strut its not like its that hard to get another stock one **** i got like 8 or 12 lying around, but your gona get coilovers anyways so do it

also 2.25 is not that low you wont have a problem driving unless your 'special' witha 2.25 drop youll still have gap in the fender well, unless your rollin on some like 17 or 18

Yea I have neuspeed race springs and I need shocks pretty bad... Im debating on getting either the KYB AGX's which btw for the most part Ive heard they are decent except for a few people here and there w/experience w/them have said they arent worth it, that theyre not that great... Look into Tokico's while you're at it.

You plan to lower 2-1/4 inches and drive around on the streets of NY? That really doesn't sound like a good idea.

ive got neuspeed race springs im waiting to put on my hatch, i got a good deal on yellows for 380 shipped, used for 3k miles. Titanmotorsports.com offered them for 450 when i asked, that was a few weeks ago though, probably gone by now. i was gunna go with the kyb but i heard with this big of a drop they suck, i dunno id save for the yellows.

Hondadriven and lightning motorsports both had koni sports for less than 500 shipped over the holidays -

Why not just bare it for 8 mo. or so? Then you could be puttin' away extra money here in there for some great coilovers. Just my thought.
