What happened to my (and the other) posts from yesterday? Gone. There was nothing in there to warrant deletion. Oh well.
Congrats! I have had a bunch of Honda sportbikes and dirt bikes. Amazing fun all!
I think you said in the missing posts (another thread??) that you got a good helmet and some leathers. Get some riding boots, they will help your feel and use of the foot controls, and make you a better rider.
Check out the Twist of the Wrist vids. Good stay alive riding tips, in addition to MSF, and your buddy's riding lessons. Keep the speed down until your skills are good. Just like the R, you can easily go way faster than is safe and not even realize it.
CBR 600's (several), 900RR, a couple of CR's and XR's, and some others. But I especially liked the CR500R dirt bike I made into a 'Supermotard' (dirt bike with street bike brakes, tires, and suspension, for trick riding on street). 80 MPH 5th gear roll on power wheelies anyone?
In-f'in-sane!
