Default My friends car has dust that wont come off!

Well, my friend told me that his acura legends paint has dust that wont come off even after washing. Anyone ever heard of this? wtF?! If you have please post comments on how you got it off, or how you failed miserably to get it off please! thanks!

It's not dust... it's called over-spray. I'm not sure a clay-bar would take it off... probably rubbing compound

I got some of those mud like splash on my 89' acura, i'll try clay bar, but I am pretty sure it's the last time i would use that claybar, the paint is Nasty.

anyways, anyone have good/positive feedback on the blue clay?

i just recently bought "Clay Magic" from Autozone...comes with a little blue clay bar and some "clay lube"....worked AMAZING...made the paint feel brand new

Actually, i should shut up...you may be right. I keep thinking overspspray is paint that is sprayed over already painted surfaces... for me. thanks emoBB1 if youre right.

Try a claybar first. if that fails then buff the car. I had some dust **** in my paint. and i didnt clay it first i had it buffed(friend owed me a favor) and it all came out.

claybar and rubbing compound do almost the same thing.....except claybar is safer for your paint. Rubbing compound will actually sand down your clear coat while claybar just smooths it out. Use claybar first and if that doesnt work than trying some polishing compound, its not a rough on the paint. Just by know personal knowledge the darker the colour of claybar that more aggressive it is.
