Default what turbo will suit me best? d16y8 autox, street, drag, daily, 300+whp

eagle rods, srp pistons, crower stage 2 cams, pnp etc...

9:1 compression or 10.2 depends... high compression lower boost needed... right?

i want 300 whp at least... what turbo can spool fast enough for auto x... and still make 300whp? if not i think id have to settle with 250whp with turbo and 50 shot of n2o... or what ever... stock block too and some FINE tuning just like your sister

Sounds like you're dreaming to me.

You'd be okay with "settling" for 250whp? Have you ever RIDDEN in a 250whp FWD Honda? PLENTY of power for the street, and plenty of guys on this board can attest to that.

I'm not even going to throw out recommendations yet. You've got a lot of reading to do on this forum.

you wont be able to autox with a nitrous tank in your car. you'd have to remove it for each event.

Probably would settle for 250 hp with that 50 shot b/c it will always give 50 hp more.

.48 trim t3/to4b. leaves you lots of room. prolly wont spool till like 4-4.5k on a SOHC, but will still give you lots of top end. i was running 12's with that same turbo on an ls. they are dirt cheap too

I think your hp goals and drivability dont go well together. a 300 whp d-series is a pretty rare occurance. it needs the right combinations and a lot of money. There are only a few with those numbers on here.

I would go higher compression and use a super 60 T3. You won't hit your HP goal but it will be a pretty fast street car with over 225whp i would guess.

I had a T25 on my Z6 and it was incredible for auto-x. It would start pulling hard before 3000 and continue to about 5500 then it eased off up top. I got great times because there was no downshifting to 1st for hairpins. The midrage torque and instant response was ideal. I was probably making about 150-160whp but in a 2000 lb hatch with the SOHC TQ I was keeping up with evo8s, wrxs, 911s (with an awesome driver). Now i'm going to try and make over 200 with a .63turbine and .42comp T3 that cost me $25!

My buddy has a t3/t4 (57trim with stg3 turbine)on a b18b but he won't auto-x with me anymore because it starts to pull at the end of the straights and is doggy out of boost. you'll hate it if you go too big, unless AX is seccondery to street power...

i agree. 300 whp d-series drag cars are rare... and you want a daily driven one. you're going to be pushing it wicked hard dude. i'd seriosulty re-consider your plan if this is your only vehicle.

300whp rare occurance yea... but with some fine tuning it should happen...

im leaning towards 10.2 compression srp pistons and eagle rods and fully built head... and maybe a 16g turbo or a super60 t3
