Im planning to do a mini-me into my 94 civic hatch and this guy at the junk yard offered me 500 bucks for a 2000 y8.
i was wondering if this is a good price. no ecu, no harness, just the engine by it self.
plz get back to me as soon as possible, its 10 pm right now and im leaving for the appointment with him tomorrow at 10am

If you are going to do a mini-me, why do you need the whole engine?</TD></TR></TABLE>
because i like a fresh tranny with no grinds and low miles, a block with low miles, a head with low miles and vtech, and something that would actually run then my pos d15b7 that has webs all over it

Yeah why the **** would you rip apart a decent Y8 for a mini-me and tranny swap? Mini-me's are for people who DONT have access to full motors

Well to do a Y8 mini-me you'll need to change over to OBD2 and then run a conversion harness anyway...i'd just do the full swap...u can use ur stock axles, mounts, etc

Aye, you might as well just swap the engine. If you look in the classified's i've seen y8s goin for 300 just the block though.

really?
i asked just for the block and the guy said "AT LEAST" $600.00...i went to check it out and it had 80k, 99 model and no fuel rail
then he showed me another one and he said "this one is only 30k miles on it", i looked at it and it was a d15b7, this guy thinks im stupid or something

I was thinking of going the same route too. I have a 95 DX and there's a local guy who's selling a D16y8 for $750 OBO. He said all D16Y8 with mounts, shift linkage, axles, intake pipe, disturbutor, ecu, harness are included. Anything else I'm missing here or I should know to get this thing going on? Thanks.
