Default Heat Shield Question

I just ordered my DC 4-1 header. So tonight i was pretty bored, so I figured I would take the heat shield off just to make the installation process a little quicker when the header arrives. So I was wondering, will I be fine driving around with the shield off for a few day or will it cause problems? TIA

You'll be fine without it.

word. unless of course you have a 1988 Prelude, in which case your power steering runs over the top of the exhaust manifold, and the extra heat causes it to leak... But since you don't, no worries

you will be fine,..some people take off the heat shield for good becuase sometimes that bastard rattles like crazy,...although i have "heard" a couple stories of people not having a heat shield and parking over dry leaves causing a fire,..ive never seen it myself
