Default HELP! ALarm is on crack!!

Ok, this is really weird, my alarm for one isnt all that fancy, its a cheap walmart korean alarm (which i did not buy, previous owner did). Any ways, I went to unlock my car with the keyless entry and it did not make the usual "blurp-blurp". it was silent. As I am driving down the road I notice the l.e.d. on my steering wheel is bright red, I have no clue what that means. So just messing around I held down the lock/arm button on my key chain and the alarm starts going off while I am driving. WTF. I quickly pressed the button again and it shut off (as if it was disarming the car) and it turned off. There is a little button down below in my foot well that is for my alarm but I do not know what it is for or what it does, im thinking that maybe my huge foot hit it while I was driving or parked or something. Please help.

I have no clues about how alarms work, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Footnote: Alarm will go off manually while driving, Im not a crook!

The Botton is a Valet switch, most alarms if ur key is in the ign u hit 1 to 3 times and it goes on Valet Mode, when ur LED is bright red it means it's in Valet Mode, meaning its not working, **** that alarm im sure it's a POS, take it out for a real alarm a Clifford. BTW try replacing the alarm remote battery some, alarms give a warning when they are getting low on battery
