my hx rims...HELP!!!
I have the 14" 2000 Honda Civic HX rims, and my tires are bald now. The stock tire size is 185/65/14.....Now my question is, what size should go with for better performance. Would 195 be wider and better? Should I go with 60 instead of 65? Thanks alot.
they worked great for me....but going from a 195-60-14 to a 205-50-15....was a huge difference.
I'd take the smaller sidewall anyday. But, for the price and function ofthe 14 inch Azenis, you can't beat it. I think my set was 215 after tax installed through Sears

I won't have another set of Azenis for street tires. They don't last long enough for me and I don't track the car enough to make it worth it. **** listening to those truck sounding tires all the time too. I havent run any other higher performance tires (drove a 4runner on 32s before the Civic) and Im back on the all seasons that came on the car, so I don't have much to compare it with, but my Azenis had a good deal of grip to begin with. Once they got to about 50% tread though they started to loose grip very very quickly.
EDIT: And the ES100s (which I want) are expensive as crap compared to the Azenis.

Okay so would 195/65/14 be better or 195/60/14? They both seem pretty close to me, but which one would perform better and why? Thanks again for the feedback.
By the way, I'm not really a super aggressive driver, so constantly spending money on replacing the Azenis would probably be a bad idea. I am however, leanign towards the Kumho 712s, they got great reviews from Tirerack.com. Anyone with personal experience with them?
