on my mother's accord, the gas gauge is faulty.
after long drives, where the gas should go down, the needles stays int he same position, until the engine is turned off, and then back on...

it gets a correct reading only after restarting the motor.

anyone know what this is about?

 

I would say sender unit.....how many miles it may still be under factory warranty (I think its 4 years)

 

My wife had a 1998 V6 accord. They had a recall cause the it did the same thing. Check with your local dealer to see if that's the same problem with your car.

 

there is 27k on the clock,.
my mom barely drives.

ill have the car checked out with the dealer.
she doesnt have the warranty, that im sure of.
