Default New Exhaust option....

Just thought I would post this Info up about this RSR Exhaust that is now available for the DC2 .

This system is a under the tie-bar, N1 style system. It is slip fit and extremly straight. This is the same as the Amuse system on the Spoon Itr that IPS brought to the Expo, just not Ti. Price is very fair also with MSRP for the Dc2 @ 589.00.

Damn, straight as an arrow with no resonator? Looks like ear drum bursting fun!

Looks like a real hot race piece. What is the size? Anyone use this? Good find.

looks hot, only a 60mm piping diameter. I wonder if that is O.D. or I.D.

True..... but I would think that eventhough only 60mm, that with the basically no Bend design, I would not mind it only being 60mm.

First the BC3 and now this?

Geez, you must not like hearing things. WHAT? WHAT DID YOU SAY SONNY?!

IIRC, I think Dee was the first one on HT that had and posted about the ExMag GT2 waaaaaay back when he was still NA.

This looks sweet, but what is with the recent trend of having the exhaust tip stick out way past the end of the bumper cover? I can understand you would do it to help keep the soot off, but if you ever got hit on that thing it would be trouble.

I'd love to have something like that for the track... but seeing how my car is usually my primary vehicle (I REALLY should get to work on my crx), it's not to practical without a really good resonator

Chris - going to 'settle' (if you can call it that) for ye ole' Fujitsubo, again.

price is nice.. but since it goes under the rear tie bar I'd be a bit worried about ripping the whole damn thing off.. you should see how low it hangs on a Civic.. I bet it's worse that the "artist's conception" pics they have posted for DC2s. I like the straight through design though..

I'll be keeping my BC goodness.. It sticking out is going to cause me to have to cut the tip off a bit before I go wheel to wheel though.. it sticking out is like a big fat target symbol..

Chris, use the silencer, or some earplugs.. what you said made me remember an old saying.. "if it's too loud, you're getting too old...."

In the pic it seems to hang great for being an "under axle" exhaust. I know they could have airbrushed to make it look like it does not hang low, but who knows?
Every N1 Style muffler on a Eg or Ek I have ever seen hangs very very low so I would not base it on that at all.

Yeah.. but if it's going underneath, you know it has to hang low.. at least back there.. look how long the hangars are!

Hangers look so long b/c the piping come from middle of car and exits normal place..... Hence the must be that long and offset to reach the stock hanger points.

this isn't a new exhaust. It has actually been out for a while.
It IS going to hang low. It has no choice but to hang low. This is Definitly a track only peice.

that is not the best idea

it would be way easier to just have a 2.5 piece of 304 ss then a 22" resonator and then a small turn down. should be quiter than that other thing, and just as much power

It seems cheap enough to buy and since I can get them at a good price. I bet it wouldn't be hard to slang it off on ebay or something for around the same price I got it. If it's too loud, I'll take it to a muffler shop to weld a resonator or 2 on there.

the hytech is way more then this. Don't even put them in the same ballpark for price purposes. I am sure you could modify this one for cheaper.
But seriosly... why would you even think of doing it. Too many options out there for most of you street driven vehicles to worry about. Get a street legal exhaust if you daily drive your car...

Those pics make the car seem really high off the ground also makes it look like it has great ground clearance which I highly doubt.

I thought about getting this exhaust. Instead I picked the Skunk2 N1 (made by RSR Invidia). I know of a guy that had the ExMagGTII on his RSX-S and he loved it. His car was a daily driver (stolen ) and he said wasn't too loud ( ) and fitment was perfect.
