Default UPDATE/Stolen R: Some good new and some bad new on the R...

Update on the page 3.

I was contact by the East LAPD today...

They found my whole motor swap swapped into a red eg.(still in the process of swapping it in)

I don't get it back till the case is closed and they WILL BE FACING JAIL TIME.

Till this moment the guys that aquired my motor still isn't talking. So they still have no idea where my shell is at.

But I gave him the description of my motor and he said that they have it. It slipped my mind to ask if my suspension/wheels is also on that chassis.

So far its looking up for me..

Just thought I'd share it with you.

the ratio of stolen/recoveries to stolen/totaled is so bad. This is great news. Glad someone finally got usted for having an illegal swap. Mother f$%^ers

Well its about time Cali strict emmisions laws helped someone out.
Hope you get your stuff back soon

Just one question assuming you had insurance and you were compensated already isn't the motor techinically property of the insurance co? Have you though about this? Or was it stolen recently?

yes if the insurance compensated him for damages, then the parts are theirs. However he should have the right to buy the parts back from them.

That's fuggin great!!! It's funny though about the current engine owner, If he had no idea it was stolen, you would think that more people would have been more curious as to where the seller acquired the motor. (especially in CA) And if he did know, I hope he rats out the seller and they both rot. Karma caught these fools.....good luck finding the rest, hope it's all able to come together for you. for you tonight!!

Good that at least part of it was found, and that there is a legal scare....bad that they'll most likely just receive hand slaps

And some people complain about opening their hood...

I'm happy the Fuzz found your motor and I hope they are able to track down the rest of your stuff In one piece.

Good luck

wow that is SO wicked
amazing to hear that "hood popping cops" finally earned their keep.

but now I hope you get the parts back soon and not like a year down the road.
good luck on the other stuff too!

Thats great!
Hope everything works out!!
They will I'm sure get pegged for the crime....they have evidence so weither the guy(car w/ motor in it) Knew it was stolen or not,..hes FUCKED and the shop/people that did the swap!! Glad cops are strict like that out there for you and not out here!Although..if My R gets stolrn,..it would probably be gone forever!

Did the guy whose car they found the engine in know it was stolen, or have they told you yet?

JUSTICE!

What are the odds? I suppose they didn't tell you how it went down at the scene... I'd be interested in why they were suspicious of that car in particular... I mean, there have got to be thousands of riced up civics, crx's and del sol's...

Nevertheless... this is great news... I hope they drop the soap while they are in the slammer... then they will know how it feels to be violated...
