Default clock went out

ok guys sorry if this sounds stupid but i have no idea whats up. basically i got a sol and the clock for the sol is in the cluster. the clock started going out.. well actually dimming but when i presses the buttons (hour/minute) it would light up again. now it wont even do that its out cold. i was wondering could it be a bad fuse? or is it basically dead? also if i wanted to replace it could i replace just the clock or would i have to replace the whole cluster. thanks for the help in advance.

I'm thinking a short or if all the other lights are doing it also your altenator could be going out.
You might haft to replace your clock.

not sure if you fixed this already or not... but my friend just asked me the same question because the clock in his mom's Del Sol was doing the same thing. I couldn't really find an answer here on HT, but a search showed that there's a 7.5a "backup" fuse in your engine bay fusebox that's linked to the clock. That was the case in my friend's mom's car... HTH

thanx, ill check the engine bay fuse box today to see. One thing is though that the clock acts like its really dim... then when you hold down one of the buttons it lights up a little bit more and then when you stop holding down the button it goes away again. I fwould assume if it was a blown fuse it would be a white black, work or not work type of deal. then again it could be a loose fuse or a bad fuse so i will check. thanx for the help guys
