Default What does it take to beat a 04 viper? or 911T

The new Vipers trap 125ish in the 1/4 which would make them pretty sick from a roll. they have 500hp and 500 foot lbs of tq. the 911's trap around teh same thats the equivalent of what in a civic or integra? like 300-350? or is it more like 400+ hp has anyone beat or ran neck and neck with either of these cars?

125 trap speed with traciot is like a low 11 high 10 it will take monster slicks a great driver and about 475+whp

good luck

BS I dont belive that for a second. it cant take 475+whp to trap 125 in a civic or integra.

I don't think new vipers even trap around 125. The ones I've seen run have been under or just near 120 mph. And according to some of the viper guys that is about right.

However, I do have one under my belt. Although the guy couldn't drive to save his life, he left the track as soon as he got done w/ this pass. The guy had cameras and everything mounted to the windshield of his car.

Also my slowest 1/4 mile pass w/my car having a turbo.

the new turbo porsches trap like 114-115 and thats the 6 speeds, the autos trap a few mph lower.

the viper on the other hand...beastly

Porsche will take about 300 hp viper will take like 375-400 and traction

and for all the porsche nut lovers that think its bs :

theres numerous other sources too, so its not just magazine racing.

IMO, Upper 300whp (370-380+) should have a 2400lb Civic/Teg trapping awfully close to 120mph, which should have you running door to door with a new 911TT

alot depends on the weight of the car..in a light cx/vx hatch or pretty much anything sub 2200lb with +/-400whp you should hit or be very close to 130mph, theres too many factors to really give an exact, ie. elevation, tire size, etc..

Did you write the book on HP vs 1/4 times? I know plenty of honda's in the 11's with alot less than 350whp...i also know of a few honda's that have ran 10's with under or right around 400whp. mayking a statement like that is stupid.

Where? At the track or on the street? No way from a dig. But at the track...slicks. On the street, a good roll. (traction-wise im sayin) Could really care less about hp. If you can't put it to the ground, what good is it?

you don't half to believe me..i could care less, let me guess, your building a 500+ hp honda?
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=654560 Thats just a quick example i found 325whp, 11.4's .....theres quite a few all motor cars that run 11's with ~250whp, Is all motor HP different than FI HP? Its all about power to weight, all 500+ guarentees is traction problems.

Remember Jeremy Lookofsky's L'natural CRX? It ran 10.8 with 247 whp out of a H22 running 15.2:1 comp, so yes, it has been done with alot less than 400

Uhhh yea.. stick a stock D15 in a shopping cart and watch it pull 10's also.. we don't all drive rolling shells, some of us have interiors.

I agree...using a race car as an example is stupid....

There are plenty of all motor street cars in the 11's though..
