how can you tell if MAP sensor is bad?
you can check it with a fluke multimeter. You need to check it for Voltage in a manner that it is still installed. Place the multimeter on it while car is off, should be no "E", then note the voltage while car is at idle, and not fluctuating.
signal output voltage should be 1.0-1.5V at closed throttle(high vacuum)and 4.0-4.5V at WOT(low vacuum),and vary between the two at throttle postitions between.

with the key on,there should be constant 5V on the yellow/red wire...this the voltage feed wire.
the white wire is the signal wire-it should have right at 5V with the key on,but car not running.as said above,this wire should have 1-1.5V with the car idling.
the colors are the same for both cars.
