you can check it with a fluke multimeter. You need to check it for Voltage in a manner that it is still installed. Place the multimeter on it while car is off, should be no "E", then note the voltage while car is at idle, and not fluctuating.

 

signal output voltage should be 1.0-1.5V at closed throttle(high vacuum)and 4.0-4.5V at WOT(low vacuum),and vary between the two at throttle postitions between.

which wires should i tap into, to get this reading? anyone have a wiring diagram for this map sensor for both 92 dx and a 95 gsr?

 

with the key on,there should be constant 5V on the yellow/red wire...this the voltage feed wire.
the white wire is the signal wire-it should have right at 5V with the key on,but car not running.as said above,this wire should have 1-1.5V with the car idling.
the colors are the same for both cars.

this is where i stand right now.....i need to know which wires on the gsr map sensor do, from 'left to right' looking down at the clip.
