How should i go about cleaning this up myself(valves,IM,ports)?
After pulling the head off my hydroed motor the other night i come to find a good amount of carbon buildup(expected of course) and a little bit of surface rust on the head. How should I go about cleaning up the valves and surrounding chamber making it all nice and shiny(or is there even a point?). Also, my IM has some buildup(dirty oil), any recommendations on cleaning it up(what to use)along with my exhaust(had some nice rusty water sitting in them)/intake ports? here are some pics...

Refer to B18C5-EH2, from what I noticed his SOHC was hot tanked with everything attached...

I dissamble the head and first hot tank it then clean it with Purple Cleaner, that shitz great on aluminum, but dont spray it on polished metal because the polish will be wiped away

I wouldn't recommend it since you will ruin tha valves guide seals, for the rest, then yes, go ahead

still toying with the idea of replace those while its all apart, and i think i can get it hottanked for free/really cheap, so i would like to get it nice and shiny.
do you need to soak the LMAs in oil if you remove them, and do they need to go back into the same positions they came out of the head in(like the rockers), i would think not. thanks.
