Theres nothing special about these clips right? I mean changing the clips is just to have a snug fit on the injector plug? What ever I do as long as the contacts touch and secured it should be fine right?

the injector clips are OBD2.2 and wont plug into your OBD1 harness. Your going to need to wire the new clips in. Its pretty easy to do.
