I would say an OBI 97 Type R. Or if you do have the money for that, a 96-97 OBDI GSR. GSR makes about 128 lbs torque at 6800ish, 170 HP at 7600. Ls has about 128-129 lbs torque and 140 HP at about 6500ish. Hope this helps.

all USDM GSR's have 170.
And team-integra.net has everything. Dont just go there and not look. Go to the articles and study the car. Youre asking the dumbest questions when you could spend 5 minutes on google even to get the answers. Cmon.

i think at this point, you should be researching how to search web forums rather then finding the specs of an integra, because if you can't find that kind of info on team-integra.net AND honda-tech.com, you may just be a lost cause....
What I meant was that the 96-97 GSR comes with OBDI. The 98 GSR's still has 170 hp, but they come with OBII. OBDI GSR's generally respond better to modifications. You can get a used one for fairly cheap, maybe around $5000, even less. Just look around in the classifieds and ebay has some as well.

Why would you want an Integra between 96-98 obdII emissions systems are very resistent when it comes to making power. In anycase the RS Integras are the base model Integra of that era lackin the sunroof and cruise control it is the closest you can get to the foundation of an ITR, next the LS adds the sunroof and cruise control with leather being an option, moving up on the list is the GS which I believe comes standard with leather and the nice alloys, and then there is the special edition a GSR look alike but with no "marbles". Note all the models I just described all utilize the anemic 140 hp B18B motor with TALL gearing transmission. Stepping up to the next level is the GSR, bigger brakes a little thicker sway bar, smoother better geared tranny, and all around sporty car, and for 97 up I don't even need to go into details about the venerable Type R or as most honda-tech people would say "The Truth" Good Luck~
