Turn signal won't cancel
Just bought our daughter a 1996 Civic LX for Christmas. The steering seemed a little stiff, which I attributed to high mileage. However, she came home from school and said the car steers much easier, but now her turn signals won't cancel. Is there any solution without replacing the turn signal/headlights switch? Also need tips to make sure the air bags don't deploy in my face.
This is my first Honda, so please be gentle.
Thanks,
Rainman

well you will most likeky have to replace the turn signal assy. unless you just deal with manually turning them off but thats no fun!
The manual for Honda says to remove the ground cable from the negative terminal on the battery and wait for at least 3min. but I would wait 5min. just to be safe before doing any work around the airbag system.

I found my problem to be a mechanical one. Here's the thread where I first researched the issue and later on, found and wrote about the fix. Hope it helps.
