Anyone with regrind cam?
I am considering getting the JG regrinded cam for my F23 but many people are not recommending getting a cam that is regrinded. What negative effect does a regrinded cam have on a motor?
No, no, no. Not JG. Didn't you see Paul's post on Honduh?

GRIND NO. - The type of shape or profile ground onto the camshaft which determines the specific performance range of each new performance camshaft.
GRIND - The actual cutting of the camshaft to a specific shape.
I have allways heard good and bad things about gude cams, But never heard really anything horrible about WEB CAM INC. I think the power gain you get is about 20hp expected and more with port and polish for about $800-1000."

although I wont venture as far to say that gude is complete junk... they are regrinds though and not the best company to deal with. I have had alot of issues getting information from them in the past about a set of h23 cams I use to run in my old car.
not a person helped me and I got no were until I talked to bill on his cell one afternoon... great guy and very helpful to me at that time.
overall customer service was generally crappy besides bill and their cams made great power (not what they claim obviously) but I could never get the valves adjusted right, thus it sounded like it was falling apart. eventually I had to have the head/ valve seats milled to get everything correct and be able to tighten down the valves to the proper lash.
BTW all said and done I will buy a custom grind in the future.
