Smoke at High Rpm's
Anybody know or can help me figure out why i smoke at high rpm's? I'm guessing maybe valve guide seals? I mean I'm sure my valves are well beat to death at 88,000 miles. So can anybody help me with this? If there was a topic before about this I'm sorry but i haven't seen it
Thanks guys

it's probably your rings not sealing properly at higher rpms. if your burning problem is out of hand, get a compression and leakdown test.
Valves are a delicate thing. My 99 SI with 29k used to smoke at high RPM's after I beat it for a good 20 min. Then I would stop and drive like a grandma and it would go away. Morale of the story is dont beat your call all the time. Hehehhee
my car used to do that occasionally at high rpms, i have dyno vids i was watching when it was all motor and at like 8500-9k or so it would get a little puff.my car ran great though and always produced unbeieveable HP. so i never thought too much of it.

it mostlikely ur valve seals, but yeh like the other dude said anything after 7-8k it will burn oil.. if u get a brand new type-r and beat it for 3,000 miles and when u go change ur oil u will be ateast 1 quart low if not more.. its been proven
