Default Clifford alarm on 97 civic

Anyone have one?
I have a couple questions for someone who does.
Like what the hell the button on the dash does?

I have a clifford alarm on my Sol.. there is a little black button that my alarm came with. It is for the vallet parking. If you have the car vallet parked' you push this button a few times and it automatically locks the doors and sets the alarm after the parker gets out of the car. I've never used it, but thats what mine is for.

Its a plain view coded valet switch. Use it for getting in and out of valet mode and for programming the alarm. You have to enter a code into it for it to work. Factory code is 2. If you don't know what you are doing or don't have the install manual I wouldn't play with it.

I've got one in my 98, it's used for valet and sleeping the alarm. Like when my remote batt. died, I had to "sleep" the alarm so I could drive it to the store for a new one"starter disable". But like TwistedSI said, if you don't know then don't hit the buttons, you could screw up the remote code seqeunce.

uh, that's not what it does. it prevents the doors from locking and the alarm arming. helpful when you're working on your car.

both you guys need to go here, http://www.directed.com and find your manual and read up.
