Need some advice
Hey everyone, I need some advice... I bought a 1991 RS off a family member, perfect chassis, but blown motor.. He told me that ALL I needed to do was buy new headlights and a motor, and he'd have it fixed ASAP... I IMMEDIATLY bought the motor and the headlights (July 2003).. So, here we are today.. I have also bought, Rims (because he said he can't sell me the car unless I buy them, for my safety), bolts up the a$$, and new seats because a leak that "magically" came from nowhere and ruined the stocks, I have also registered the car (Sept. 2003 good for one year, Sept. 2004) and I currently still have the car on jackstands,, paint fading away, rotors rusting over (worse than it normally does when cars are not moved for a long time) and all that has been done is the removal of the motor, and BASIC prep for the new motor (timing belt, intake manifold, etc.).. what should I do, get my money back and buy something else, wait for him... HELP!! Thanks
I am so confused. It sounds like your getting screwed by a family member! Gross! Anyway I would just start doing it your self. You gotta start sometime! My first big project was a turbo! Me and a friend who had done 2 did the whole thing in a weekend with some minor hiccups here and there. Get a wrench and get dirty! This website is THE BEST for do-it-yourselfers. There is so many articles in the archieves you could find enough info here to put a motor together from scratch! Just remember to SEARCH!

So basically your relative sold you a lemon, and you are tryin to figure out how to make the best out of a bad situation?? Well in regards to waiting for him to help, I would not put any stock in that, it is a well known fact the only way to get something done is to do it yourself. Use your resources, talk to your mechanically inclined reliable friends/family and get the car together... it might take some time but Integras are worth the money, the car will pay you back 10 fold.
