Default no name vs brand name strut/tie bars...any difference?

i was about to buy the rest of my suspension today until somebody suggested to me to buy the no name stuff cuz it's all "the same".....they're metal bars, they all do the same thing right? call me hard headed or race biased, but i was still kinda iffy about the idea.....first of all there is a HUGE price difference the no name stuff is at the least three times cheaper than the brand name stuff....are we really only paying for the so called "name"? how about the quality? what do you guys think? does anybody have any experience with this whatsoever? any help is appreciated....

thank you in advance

id say that yes, they are similar, but no, they arent the same. some strut tower bars actually have spots in them that can flex and bend with body roll. the best strut tower bar i have seen is the neuspeed for the crx. a very very tight fit. you actually have to jack up the car to install it because when the car is sitting on the ground on the tires, there is a little bit of 'sag' inbetween the shock towers. its also the sturdiest ive seen. in my opinion, neuspeed has done enough r&d to produce a product worthy of my purchase not to mention my trust. hope that gives some insight.

search, this has been beaten to death here...
i am for solid upper strut bars, without hinges, I.E. neuspeed. the structure integrity is also a factor, if you can bend the brackets of the bar by hand it will be nothing more then a fancy coat hanger on your car.
BTW i paid $50 for my front neuspeed bar.

i jus bought the no name stuff on ebay for 38 shipped. lol thats front and rear sturt bars, i will tell ya how shitty or good they are when i get them.

P.S. Im not expecting them to be that great. for $19.00 a piece.

i will try and bend them when i get them. if they do bend, i am sending them fockers on back to where they came from.

i would go with solid frame tie bars 4 the top, similar to the factory del sol's and some nuespeed or dc's for the bottom if u got the cash for dc.
