Default Help guys...oil is leaking...

i did a search, but no results for such kind of oil leaking as i do.
coz i am new to car, so maybe my question is stupid, but pls give me some advices please...

i have a 94 honda accord lx. oil is leaking on the right hand side of the engine..
there's cover covering it, so i am not sure where's leaking tho.
but i can tell it's leaking where all the belts are.
i saw some searches said that i might becoz of seals....i dun know
and also my friend told me that it might be the oil pumper( never heard of it )
but anyway, can someone tell me where or what should it be the leaking place?
and my friend told me if it's coz of the oil pump, it might cost me like 400 hundred bucks for replacing it......
please...before i bring it to some mechanical stores,i wanna know what's wrong with my car....
well...it's still running pretty good thise morning tho...
but i can see those oil are leaking a lot....and almost no engine oil in the engine now....
thankz for your replies ....

Your engine will seize and destroy itself really quickly if your oil pump fails, so no.

dont drive the car too much till you get it fixed - it looks like an oil seal problem that it was part of the honda recall. With the recall, they put a retainer to hold oil seal in place - as it looks like to me that they had problems with it popping off entirely.

I was quoted $750 (US) just to do the belts and water pump but not replacing oil seals. The parts from http://www.hondaautomotivepart...y.jsp would be about $130 with two belts, water pump, 3 oil seals and two tiny springs.

I am doing timing belts, seals, and water pump on my 92 accord now - O.K. so far.

It might just be something as simple as your oil pan gasket.

Take it to a professional and have them put it on a rack and inspect it. Most reputable garage's won't charge you for a visual inspection.
