What Kinda Crap....err...Crack Is This!?
So I hop in the R to go to work this morning and see this ****. Anyone else have this happen? What do you think caused it? It never happened on my old 94 GS-R. As if coming out of a store and finding a shopping cart up against my passenger door the other day, revealing a nice quarter sized ding wasn't enough this winter.
Look up right where the window meets the dash. You can see the whole crack in the reflection. No raggin on my dirty dash either

I would not be surprised with the dash cracking in Las Vegas.

yeah me too. I see ALOT of DC2 owners with that same crack in the dash. I heard it could be caused from flexing or vibrations, like maybe if you were pounding through gears or something. Firewall flexing?

No problem. I've seen the other dude with the "Outkast" screen name.

It happens to a lot of older Hondas. My 94 LS has a crack like that cause the old owner never put a sunvisor up or maintained the car. I usually crack the windows in the R whenever its hot out or it's going to be in direct sunlight. I don't really care about it in the LS cause it's done with already and no matter how much I pamper it, it's gunna stay there.
My sisters 98 GSR did the same thing. And my 95 which has lived outside has not cracked, although I use one of those goofy window shades when I park it.
Yep, got the exact same thing, in the exact same spot, in my 98 R. Oh well, say fock it a and drive the snot out that bizzatch.
:edit: Whoever is keeping the 'shiznit that goes wrong with R's' list please add this. Don't forget to add the 'passenger door sticks out' too.

Yeah used to use Armor All low gloss, but that **** is impossible to find anymore so I use some meguiars stuff now. I usually put that junk on my dash about one a month maybe. In between I just mist some water on a terry towel or just use it dry and wipe it down.
