i went to orilleys yesterday to see if i could get a passanger upper ball joint, but no luck..ofcourse i could only get the whole UCA, but it was only $102 so thats better than honda. Well today i decided to be a "smart shopper" and checked out autozones price..they actually showed balljoint in there computer system for $84.99, either way im gettin a better price so placed the order, but do you think ima get an actual balljoint or the whole UCA? part #334849.

I'd rather not have to replace my whole UCA cause it was a pain in the *** getting my ingalls to fit in the UCA arms and also i dont feel like grinding down the edge off of the UCA (again) to fit in the fender

Good luck putting the upper ball joint into the uca, from what I hear they are pressed together....usually they are only sold as one piece.

Hope you get 1 piece.

 

..those upper balljoints weren't designed to come out..so if it is just the balljoint..how do you expect to get it in there?

 

upper ball joint is held on by a snap ring. You should be able to find just the ball joint for 30 bucks or less. I got a whole arm for 50

 

you have to get them pressed in. And yes you can just buy the upper ball joints

 

Not all Upper A arms have clips.. some are welded in depends on year later models have clips.

a hammer and a vise if used correct can be used in liu of a press..

you can buy adjustable upper ball joints from spc and use those instead of the ingals type camber kit..just another option

 

for those of you that think they cant be removed...they can, honda just likes bein a punk about it. 90-91s arent welded together. if i didnt have the ingalls ancor bolts i would go ahead and get the adjustable ball joints but ive already got my camber situation under control. If it is just the ball joint i will rent a ball joint press from autozone, whats the big deal?

where can you find the balljoints for $30??..also where did you find the arm for $50??

when i bought mines... it was like 88 bucks or something

once you remove a ball joint from the control arm its ruined isnt it?

 

I am a manager at autozone and I had ordered one before and for your satisfaction it is the whole UCA not just the ball joint.

 

I buy mine at wades auto parts for 65 out the door here is canton, ohio
