my brother just got a new turbo for his sr20det red top. wanted to know can i get a custom manifold with downpipe to fit on my 97 civic dx motor? and what kind of turbo is it ?? does somebody make parts that fit? info would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance.
redtop SR's have t25's they are smallish but probably perfect for your dx which will only handle 7psi or so. I am sure you can get a custom manifold made using the t25 flange.
I have an SR 240 so I'm kinda interested - what turbo did your brother get?

I had on on my d16z6. great midrange at 9 psi but it fell off after 5500. that setup in a dx hatch did around a 14.5 with very conservitive launch and no tuning.
It was great for auto-x because the power came on early and strong. just yanked you out of every corner.
I woulden't bother with the HKS manifold, although it is nice, mostly because of the cost. Just do an HF manifold and get one of the CNC'd adaptor plates off ebay for $50. The plates look really nice and would make it a bolt on setup. I just made my own plate and flange for the DP out of 1/2" mild steel. It was fun but i would pay for the adapter if i ever did it over. jgstools.com has a nice banjo to -3AN fitting for the feed line btw. $.02

DIY if you dont want to pay alot and arent looking to run 11's
Shop around. I got my HX manny for 40 shipped. I got a Z31 T3 for 67 shipped NO PLAY at all. It is dirty as hell but otherwise looks to be in GREAT shape. I got an oil pan for 20 shipped. I expect to pay the most on piping and intercooler (i plan on getting a decent FMIC)
