I have a 1990 CRX si. I put a mini-me in there but for some reason the motor wont rev past 3500rpm. Anyone know how to fix this or had the same problem?

In addtion to that problem it idle all funny. it sounds like a v8 then shuts off........help

 

your cam timing is off

 

you could also check your dizzy inside try looking at your cap and rotor

 

we need a little more info, like did you run it obd1, what ecu are you using, what codes are you throwing if any...

 

I'm using a obd0 pr3 ecu. I get the crank angle sensor code. Timing cant be off I corrected that perfectly. Could the crank angle sensor be the prob?

 

im haveing the same problem but i cant rev pass 5500rpm and i have tried the pr3 and the stock si ecu. and im useing the the make on the underdive pull with the two lines not the one line. and then i have tried adjusting my cam gear. now it adjusted +3. didnt you remove the oil jet. i did and i thinking thats the problem. but if you get it fix help me out

 

try a different distributor...

i take it you are using a Y8 head with an A6 distributor correct?

 

yup buy a z6 head on the a6 bottom. so try changing dizzy?

 

um maybe thats your problem...

 

crank angle sensor is in the distributor. when my code went the car ran like ****. try an SI dizzy thats new or on a running car. It sounds like thats ur problem.
