Little help
no not at all. if you can use a small ratchet and I think it's a 2 10mm bolts then you should be able to it out no problem
are you talking about how it will shut but not close down and lock? more details please.......
I had to fix a friends integra hood latch and the whole time it was the stupid spring that came off so I just replaced it

Its something like 6 bolts to gain access to the latch, mine does that allot.
The quick solution is to take a hammer and beat on the crossmember where the latch is attached, it usually unsticks. You'll be able to see it, its a little metal bar that will cut across the round hole where the hood latches in. If its not there now, thats your problem
the better solution is to remove the cross member (6 bolts) and remove the latch mechanism (3 bolts), detach the release cable, and lubricate the latch. I usually clean it with break cleaner to get all the grease and grime out of the spring then apply some liquid wrench to get it unstuck, then some white grease to make sure it slides well.
This usually works for a good while.
It could also be your cable that's jammed...hard to tell.

Jet Black gave you a perfect desc. of what to do.. the only other thing is if your cable got kinked or the sheathing to the cable got cut or worn.. then you need to replace the cable. This happened to me and my latch would not recoil back when i poped the hood.
ok...yea my cables fucked, but i got it all apart and thought some lub would do the trick, and i shut my hood again and now guess what...i cant get the ****** open again! the cable is pulled all the way out on the latch inside the car. so im fooked
Well if you can get a pair of pliers on the end thats attached to the hood latch side and pull real hard you might get it to pop, use somthing to hold back the sheathing if you can... hard to get though.
yea i went to my local dealership and they wanted $47 for the cable... i was like wtf. I guess im gonna have to ****** rig it up, can anyone give me some tips on taking the front bumber off?

I dont wanna insult you here, but are you sure you put the old cable in properly?
The white end goes into a clamp type joint and the lead ball ties onto the latch, anyone of those beeing loose will cause that.
Your best bet is to jack up the car, get under the front bumper and try releasing the latch from below. Its been done, my crx would jam like that.
