wear and tear on intake manifold
I'm going to be swapping out my d16a6 soon cuz of bent valves, I don't want to take the time to rebuild, it had 195k on it anyway. Got a replacement d16a6 for 250 with only 70k on it.
so I'm going to put up some of the items i don't need for sale. What I want to know is if I should bother remove the intake manifold that's in the car right now or not. The guy who I bought the engine off of did me the favor (yeah right) of removing the intake mani off of the new engine, but I still snagged it in the deal thanks to ITSTOCK.
I'm wondering if there's going to be much of a difference in the wear and tear between the 70k mile one, and the 195k mile one. It'd probably be less time to just leave the old one in there since it's all wired etc and I could sell the 70k one. Only think I could imagine being worn are the injectors?
Anyone have any insight into my madness if you can figure out what I've typed so confusingly?
TIA

yeah the injectors an sensors(IAT,TPS,etc) are wear an tear items. also, over time the intake runners can get dirt/grime/crap stuck to them, clean them out. its really up to you. i d uses the lower mileage one if the intake manifold is complete on your newer motor.
