I apologize if this is a repost but i went through the first couple pages and saw nothing. I have never seen this swap go for this cheap. Here is the link if you wish to check it out. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...31516 . There are no pics, and the seller claims the motor only has 10,000 miles on it. Either this is a huge scam or someone is getting hooked up. Can anyone vouche for ebay user id (mean2gene). They have great feedback which surprises me about all this. Check it out if your interested!!
hmm.. i'd ask for vin # since he doesn't have it posted.. any ten. locals... know this guy or can check it out if its legit? ask dsr maybe he can get some info on the seller

Whats real shady is that if you send him the money immediately he will ship for free but if you dont you have to pay $275. If someone knows how to do something about this do it.

Because the guy has it advertised as both a b18c5 and a b18c. So if it is a C5 he would have to have a VIN for me.

It's a scam. He want's you to complete the transaction off ebay. That is why there is not an official Ebay BUY IT NOW. He has it set up so you can email him and he can take your money and pull the auction. No legitimate $2300 auction is posted without pictures and very specific information about the item. He's trying to sucker someone into giving him their money by offering free shipping.
What does he say when you ask to come see it? I'm sure we all remember the last engine (picture) scammer on ebay.

I asked him to come see it. I told him i was from Tenn and i havent received a response. I thinks a scam as well and agree with all the pts that you made. What can you do about it? I mean you can tall him to fawk off but its not going to stop someone excited who thinks they are getting a steal from handing him $2300.

Hey everyone just a afternoon bump that i found nothing out about this guy and he still hasnt emailed me back. It really shady and its sounds like a scam. Why he would ruin that positive feedback i dunno but i let you all know if i do find anything out. Late
I would guess it's a jacked Ebay account....that's prolly why he wants the bidder to contact him under a different email...

who knows though....buyer beware...

I never thought of that but i guess its very possible to use someone else's account. Its just that it takes a while to rack up 200+ positive feedbacks and not be an avid user who would catch on to someone using there user id.

I just looked through his last auctions.. he hasn't bought a single car related item in recent history and the closest thing to a car part that he's sold is a rusty old jack with a maltese cross on it.
It's a hacked account. Sent Email to account holder and ebay customer support.

Hello Dave,
Thanks for the input. You are right. Someone has hacked into my account
and put this item up for sale. I have changed my password, cancelled the
sale of the item, and notified ebay.
Thanks for your concern.
