Just want something that sounds nice...What do you think?
Well first off, All I want is something that sounds nice. I'm not looking to go all out so here is what I have: I just got the new 6.5 speakers with some of my Christmas Money. I know their not components, but rather Coaxals, but I think they should still sound nice.
Setup:
Alpine 9807 HU
Kenwood 6.5 KFC-1679ie 2-Way Speakers http://www.kenwoodusa.com/prod...=2520
Stock Rear 6X9
I know this isn't much, but will it sound descent?I haven't installed the speakers yet because I'm waiting for my car to get out of the shop. Will my HU be puting out too much power for the speakers?Any comments are appreciated. Thanks.

IMO, my stock speakers with just my HU sound pretty good. So I figured by just upgrading the stock front door speakers with the paper surround to 6.5 2-way urethane surround, I would notice considerable difference in sound quality. But what do I know.
Not an all out system...Just something that people might notice sounds nice when I turn my music on...I guess, just more clear and have more power than the stock speakers. Something noticeable...
you'd be surprised then how much nicer a system can sound with even a cheap sub and amp combo, even if pushing very little power.
Your door speakers, and your rear speakers will love the extra clean power your deck can give it (seeing as at most we are talking 22 watts x 4 rms on even new units)
If you were to either throw in a cheap, sealed or ported sub, with a matching amp, it would really help to balance out the sound and make the speakers in the front (or rear) sound like they are adding all this 'depth' to your car.

Thanks for the help guys. I've had my hu in since beginning of summer and it improved the sound tremedously. So I can't wait to get my 6.5 door speakers in....Do I need to upgrade my rear 6x9's also?I am actually looking into the Alpine 10" WO's and their alpine amp. But would just upgrading my rear 6x9's help alot too?Sorry for these silly questions, but just learning.
