Exhaust Questions
I got a repair order for my exhaust a couple weeks ago and will be replacing it with the stock one tomorrow to get it inspected. I have a Greddy Evo on right now but I'm thinking about doing something a little different when I put my exhaust back on after inspection. I was thinking about having the Evo muffler cut off and replaced with a black ES Oval muffler so as not to attract as much attention to myself. I would just sell the muffler to someone. My questions are...what is the size of the piping on the Evo? I'm not sure if it's 2.25 or 2.5. My other question is, will I still get the same gains with the ES Oval/Evo pipe as I did with the full Evo?
The ES muffler is straight through, which is helpful with power, though I'm not sure on the EVO's style.
Not sure about the diameter, but you get a micrometer and find out. Or do some ghetto way of measuring.

You EVO might be closer to 3". GReddy EVO was their edition of a turbo cat-back.

It is relatively quiet. Compared to other exhausts that is. I wasn't being loud when I was pulled over. The cop just saw it and since it was the end of the month, I guess he needed to write more tickets so he decided to pick on me.
