That kinda sucks that you can't swap out O2s without getting it calibrated or something. They aren't very clear about what needs to be done if the sensor fails. Don't some of the DIY ones calibrate automaticly?
What I think you're talking about is the fact that the sensor itself, on it's connector has a high-tolerance resistor that acts as the calibration for the individual sensor (this is how they compensate for manufacturing tolerances). So you cannot change the connector that is on the sensor itself.
However, from AEM's previous UEGO offering, I believe you could not just use the cheap and readily available LSU4 sensor as a replacment.
